Walkout Walls, Framing of Crawl Space, Bracing for Backfilling and Putting to Bed for the Winter

After the forms were removed looking east.
The area in front is the garage.
Looking southwest.
Looking northwest.
Framing the crawl space.  The walkout basement
floor joists will sit on top of this wall.
Adding supports so we can backfill.
We have added straw bales over the footings to
keep them from freezing this winter.
Pouring concrete for the piers that will be holding the upper deck.
The piers.
Backfilling the driveway area on the north side.
Can now drive to the back garage.
Backfilled on the south side.

Due to the delay on getting floor and roof joists, we have decided to put the
building project to bed for the winter.
Crawl space under the utility room.
Under utility room looking other direction.
Crawl space under recreation room area.
Looking at walkout area.
View front to back of crawl space and walkout basement.

Very windy looking towards the Bay.
The main living floor joists sit on the top of the concrete.
Winter will soon to be upon us.  See you in the spring!

Second Wall Pour for Walkout

Started some backfilling of the south side.
And east side from the sand pile in the back yard.
We built the window frames for the walkout basement.
These were placed between the forms for the concrete walls.
Nice "sandwich" for the windows.
More placements of window frames.
Looking west ready for concrete pour.
Looking east.
Pouring concrete with a long pump.
Pouring concrete.
Pouring concrete.

Foundation Forming and Concrete Pour

Getting an inspection from the structural engineer.
Checking all the rebar.
Everything looks good, can pour concrete.
We are set to go looking at the front right.
Looking at the front left.
Starting the pour.
Interesting to watch.
Trucks on the road out front.
Have a concrete pumper pumping concrete.
Front wall.
John and his sister Joy.
Concrete coming out of the tube.
All the forms off looking north.
Looking south.
Getting ready to start forming for the next steps.
What a tangle of weeping tile!
But they were successful in getting weeping tile
around the foundation and covered with stone.
Friday night after the work is done.
Will be pouring the footings for the front deck posts.
Pouring the crawl space floor. The concrete truck
has its own pump.
Did had some rain but everyone says no problem.
Like painting yourself into a corner.
The corner turned out well.
Little rain water on top but done.
