Items for Final Approval - Siding, Steps Front and Back, Stairs, Hatch, Drywall Garage

Siding being finished.
Using a lift.
Also had eavestroughs installed with leaf protectors.
Finishing the front of the big garage.
Siding on the south side.
Looking good.
They had fun moving the lift around in the sand.
Finished south and east side.
Back door steps installed.
Front of big garage looking good.
Nice on the deck level.
They did a great job.
Ordered gravel to put under the deck and other places.
Compacted sand prior to adding gravel.
Cement next year after done settling.
Joy moving some of the gravel.
Used square patio stones for in front of the doors.
Southside and front view.
Still lots of gravel but have steps and siding done for
final inspection.
Night time view.
The next item was interior stairs.
These were made at a custom shop using
very nice Douglas Fir.
Posts and stiles.
A nickel is used to show the very
tight grain on the Douglas Fir
We used a ladder to get to the crawl space.
All the mechanical equipment in the crawl space
went down this ladder.
Finally steps to the crawl space!
The old construction stairs.
Removed.
Installing new stairs.
They were heavy to put in place.
We decided to finish the stiles prior to installing.
Prior to railings.
From our floor looking to the back door.

From the back door landing looking up and down.
Looking up from the crawl space landing.
Nice view of our open stairs.
We had to build an insulated hatch for the copula.
Added rigid insulation and glued in place.
Spray foamed the edges.
Fits nicely.
Next year walls for the copula.
Hope to use the shiplap from old cottage.
Ceiling too.
Lots of insulation in attic.
The hatch from below.
We had to drywall the attached garage for final approval.
